This kitchen was part of a comprehensive remodel in Broadmoor, in Seattle, beginning with a very simple 1950's style rambler with a beautiful garden and a great location. The couple wanted an updated kitchen in design and size, new utilities and all new surfaces. We used an interesting, cool green granite on all counter surfaces, installed beautiful, caramelized bamboo flooring and removed a wall to connect the kitchen to the family room. By lofting the ceiling and adding painted tongue and groove material, we created a light filled kitchen while maintaining the existing windows and footprint of the existing house. We also modified the master bedroom to increase the bathroom size and added additional closet space. Marble surfaces, built-in window seats and custom closet build-outs made the house a perfect fit for this couple.
